Puppy and Kitty - Free Pattern

Image
There's few things cuter than puppies and kittens, but together they're even cuter! The pattern was inspired by the phrase "log dog" being stuck in my head for no real reason, so I felt like I had to make the log dog a reality! This pattern uses the same base for both, with just a few details different. It works up quick, so you'll have your new buddy in no time! Since they're so quick, they're good for a last minute gift idea. Puppy and Kitty Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops only mc - magic circle (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round   Finished...

Moose - Free Pattern

Image
You can't have Canadian animal patterns without a moose. Their big noses are the cutest part in my opinion! The tiny ears have to be a close second, though. The antlers can get a little tricky, especially for beginners and if you're not used to working with chains, but don't let that deter you! Moose Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops only mc - magic circle (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round   Finished Size 5 inches tall. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension. Pattern Instructions  Head: Using dark brown 1. 6 mc (6) 2. (In...

Ladybug - Free Pattern

Ladybugs are a huge help in the garden, and cute, too! This one might not eat your aphids, but you can still make your own little garden helper with this pattern. Marmot - Free Pattern

Image
I based my marmot off the Vancouver Island marmot, but you can use this pattern to make any kind of marmot you'd like! The Vancouver Island marmot is a super cute animal that is unfortunately critically endangered, so I'm hoping that this pattern will help spread the word about them, at least a little bit. Look them up when you take a break from crocheting, they're interesting little guys! June is pride month! As you may already know, swans have been known to have same sex relationships (about 20-25% of them, in fact!), so let's celebrate by making a crochet one! Mushroom - Free Pattern

I can't be the only one who thinks mushrooms are adorable, especially the teeny tiny ones. I made my mushroom based on a fly agaric, which is native to the pacific northwest, but you can make it any kind of mushroom you want! This pattern goes well with my acorn pattern for a fun little fall theme. Mushroom Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops only mc - magic circle (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round   Finished Size 4 inches tall. Stingray - Free Pattern

While they have a bit of a bad reputation, rays are super cute! They're like little butterflies fluttering around in the sand! They come in all sorts of different patterns, so try out some unique ideas! Maybe it could double as a cookie, or a ravioli pattern? What about other foods you could make a stingray out of? Stingray Materials Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn) Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook) Safety eyes Tapestry needle Stuffing Stitch marker Scissors   Abbreviations (US terms) ch - chain sc - single crochet inc - increase dec - decrease hdc - half double crochet dc - double crochet tc - triple crochet ss - slip stitch FLO - front loops only BLO - back loops only mc - magic circle (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round   Finished Size 3.5 inches including the tail.
