Elephant - Free Pattern
Elephants are so cute, and they're amazingly smart! The way they use their trunks so gently is my favourite thing about them! This pattern looks good in any colour, so don’t restrict yourself to just grey! Blue, purple, or orange elephants are just as good!

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
4 inches long including the trunk. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

Fasten off
Body
In light grey1. 6 mc (6)
2 - 6. Sc around (do 5 times)

Legs (Make 4)
1. 6 mc2 - 3. Sc around (6) (do 2 times)
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing
Tail
Ch 6Starting in the second chain from the hook, 5 ss
Attaching Parts
Start by sewing the ears to the sides of the head.
Next, sew all four of the legs to the underside of the elephant.
Finally, attach the tail to the bum.
