Dark Eyed Junco - Free Pattern
This tiny bird is a very common sight across most of North America! They're so cute and round that I felt like it was my duty to make a crochet version. This pattern is very similar to my chestnut backed chickadee, so be sure to check that one out if you enjoyed this one!

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker

- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
Approximately 2.5 inches long and tall. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.
