Stingray - Free Pattern
While they have a bit of a bad reputation, rays are super cute! They're like little butterflies fluttering around in the sand! They come in all sorts of different patterns, so try out some unique ideas! Maybe it could double as a cookie, or a ravioli pattern? What about other foods you could make a stingray out of?

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
3.5 inches including the tail. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

Upper side
In main colour1. 6 mc (6)
2. Inc x6 (12)
3. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)
4. (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
5. Sc, inc, (3 sc, inc) x5, 2 sc (30)
6. FLO sc around (30)
Fasten off, add eyes and pattern.
Underside
In white
Reattach yarn to back loops of round 6 of the upper side, BLO sc around (30) (shown in the first picture)
1. (3 sc, dec) x6 (24)
2. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18)
3. (Sc, dec) x6 (12)
4. Dec x6 (6)
Tail
In main colourCh 8
Skip the first chain then ss, 6 sc
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing
Attaching Parts
All you have to do is attach the tail to the edge of the skirt on the opposite side from the eyes.
