No-Sew Mouse - Free Pattern



Everyone loves a no-sew pattern! Make a cute, tiny mouse of your own super quick with this short pattern. It can make a great cat toy, or a fun toy to hide around the house for your family to find in all kinds of fun spots!


No-Sew Mouse

Materials

  • Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
  • Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
  • Safety eyes
  • Tapestry needle
  • Stuffing
  • Stitch marker
  • Scissors

 

Abbreviations (US terms)

  • ch - chain
  • sc - single crochet
  • inc - increase
  • dec - decrease
  • hdc - half double crochet
  • dc - double crochet
  • tc - triple crochet
  • ss - slip stitch
  • FLO - front loops only
  • BLO - back loops only
  • mc - magic circle
  • (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
  • (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round

 

Finished Size

4 inches long, including the tail. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

 

Notes

Depending on your tension and technique, you may need to adjust the position of the legs by a stitch to get them in the right place. If it doesn't look quite centred, adjust!

7. Sc 2, (FLO dc 6 in one stitch), in both loops sc 4, (FLO dc 6 in one stitch), in both loops sc 12  (20)
8. Sc 2, sc in the back loop from the ear, sc 4, sc in the back loop from the ear, sc 5, bobble, sc 3, bobble, sc 2 (20)
9 - 13. Sc around (20) x5
14. Sc 15, bobble, sc 3, bobble (20)
15. Sc around (20)
16. (Sc 2, dec)x5 (15)
17. (Sc, dec)x5 (10)
18. (Dec)x5 (5)

Tail:

In pink
Reattach to the bum where you want the tail to be.
Chain 7, skip the first chain then ss in each chain
Fasten off and hide the tail,
