Acorn - Free Pattern
I love acorns, both looking at them and collecting them. Now you can have one that won't rot or fall apart! It doesn't take too long to make, either. Try looking up what the acorns for your native oak trees look like! Maybe they're green or yellow, maybe they're a fun shape!

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
3.5 inches tall, including the stem. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

3. Sc around (12)
4. Inc around (24)
5. (Inc)x3, sc 9, (inc)x3, sc 9 (30)
6 - 13. Sc around (30) (do 8 times) switch to dark brown on last stitch
14. FLO (4 sc, inc) x6 (36)
Ss into first stitch of the round and fasten off. Add face
Cap
In dark brown1. 6 mc (6)

Fasten off, leave a long tail for sewing
Stem
Ch 5, starting in second chain from the hook hdc, hdc, sc, ssAttaching Parts
Just sew the cap to the last round of the body, then attach the stem to the middle of the cap.
