Bumblebee - Free Pattern
Bumblebees have to be one of the cutest groups of bees there is! They're all big and fluffy and round! There's over 250 species of bumblebee, so I encourage you to look into some of your native species and create your bumblebee with them in mind! I made one a generic bee, and the other one a native species in my area!

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
3 inches long. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.
Pattern Instructions
Head and body
Start in black
1. 6 mc
2. Inc x6 (12)
3. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)
4 - 6. Sc around (18) place eyes between rounds 3 and 4
7. (sc, dec) x6 (12) stuff head, switch to yellow
8. (Sc, inc) x6 (18)
9. (2 sc, inc) x6 (24)
10. Sc around (24) switch to black
11 - 12. Sc around (24) switch to yellow after round 12
13-14. Sc around (24)
15. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18) stuff thorax
16. (Sc, dec) x6 (12)
17. Dec x6 (6)
Antenna
In blackCh 5, starting in second chain from the hook, 4 ss along the chain
Wings
In white1. 5 mc
2. Inc, hdc, (3 hdc in same stitch), hdc, inc (9)
Fasten off, leave a tail for sewing
Attaching Parts
All you have to do now is sew the wings to the back, and the antennae to the head. The wings should be mostly on the black stripe in the middle of the body.
