Canada Goose - Free Pattern
Most people find the canada goose to be a bit scary, since they're so protective of their babies, but I find them cute! They're so big, making them the perfect size to hug! This pattern is a variation of my duck pattern. I also have another goose pattern here!
Canada Goose
Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
4.5 inches long, and 4 inches tall. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.

Head

11. (2 sc, dec) x6 (18) add eyes, bill, and stuffing

Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing

Fasten off, flatten and sew to head between rounds 7 and 8
Body

Attaching Parts
Start by sewing the bill to the front of the head, then attach the white patches next to it.
Sew the head to the body, making sure the face is centred properly in relation to the back, then sew the wings to either side of the body.
