Mole - Free Pattern
Some people may see them as garden pests, but I couldn't disagree more! While we sadly don't have these cute, tiny creatures in my area, I still love them, so I wanted to make a crochet pattern that captures their cuteness. My favourite part is their tiny eyes! Those coupled with their big hands makes a perfect combo, in my opinion.

Materials
- Yarn (I used Loops & Threads Soft Classic Solid yarn)
- Crochet hook (I used a 4.5mm hook)
- Safety eyes
- Tapestry needle
- Stuffing
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
Abbreviations (US terms)
- ch - chain
- sc - single crochet
- inc - increase
- dec - decrease
- hdc - half double crochet
- dc - double crochet
- tc - triple crochet
- ss - slip stitch
- FLO - front loops only
- BLO - back loops only
- mc - magic circle
- (...) - repeat the part in parenthesis specified number of time
- (#) - number of stitches after finishing the round
Finished Size
About 4 inches long and 2.5 inches tall. May be different for everyone based on yarn thickness, hook size, and tension.
Pattern Instructions
Head and Body:
Starting with pink
1. 4 mc (4)
2. Sc around (4)
3. (Sc, inc)x2 (6)
4. Sc around (6)
5. Switch to dark grey: (inc)x6 (12)
6. (Sc, inc)x6 (18)
7. (Sc 2, inc)x6 (24)
8. (Sc 3, inc)x6 (30)
9. Sc around (30) (do 9 times)
10. (Sc 3, dec)x6 (24)
11. (Sc 2, dec)x6 (18)
12. (Sc, dec)x6 (12)
13. (Dec)x6 (6)
Fasten off and close the hole.
Hands (make 2):
1. 6 mc (6)
2. (Inc)x6 (12)
3. Sc, [hdc, ss in the same stitch]x3, sc 8
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Feet (make 2):
1. 6 mc (6)2-3. Sc around (6) (do 2 times)
Flatten the piece and sc across to close it.
Tail:
1. 4 mc (4)
2. Sc around (4)
3. (Sc, inc)x2 (6)
4. Sc around
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Attaching Parts
Sew the hands to the front part of the body, and the legs to the back.
Put the tail in the middle of the bum.
